Synopsis
Although ‘the pictures must tell the story’ is the old adage about film and television, the intelligent addition of music and sound effects can often help by enhancing even the finest pictures with mood, drama and extra information to help them tell their story. This video outlines the basic techniques of sound in film and video and gives many examples for both the ambitious amateur and novice professional about how to apply them. It reveals the precautions essential to ensure that what is shot is snychronous sound actdually sounds like what was heard on location.
