Synopsis
The life of the English potter, Michael Cardew, told in his own words. Begins with his work in England in the 1920s and 1930s, then moves to West Africa where for the next thirty years he undertook a series of unique projects that attempted to give the surviving traditions of African pottery a viable 20th-century form.
