- Looks at children affected by xeroderma pigmentosum, a rare condition that makes the skin so sensitive tht any exposure to ultraviolet light would cause cancer. Shows how the study of this condition is leading to a new approach to cancer treatment - a chance finding of a crucial gene that repairs damage to DNA has led to new drug therapy to cancer.
