MoliÈre

Synopsis
Introduction to the life and work of the French dramatist and actor Molière. Using illustrations, his career is traced from fledgling actor to famous playwright and actor-manager. Argues that he was primarily a showman rather than a man of letters, and that his plays are clearly the work of a man of the theatre, concerned with delighting and amusing the paying customer, rather than the work of an author concerned with the theorists.
