- Synopsis
- A sensitive profile of Spanish artist Joán Miró (1893-1983), a friend of Pablo Picasso, Max Ernst and André Masson, and one of the generation of great painters who worked in Paris in the 1920s. The film was made for the BBC in 1978 and shows Miró at work in his studio in Majorca and embarking on a new project: designing sets and costumes for the Catalan Theatre Company’s ‘La Claca’. Written and narrated by Miró's long-time friend Roland Penrose.
