Mind of a Murderer, The

Synopsis
The true story of mass murderer Kenneth Bianchi, known as the Hillside Strangler, who was responsible for the murder of 12 young women in the USA from 1977 to 1979. He appeared to have no memory of the crimes, and psychiatrists believed he suffered from a dual personality, but the police were skeptical. The programme uses court-ordered videotapes to show psychiatric interviews of Bianchi alleged multiple personality. Part 1 shows how psychiatrists came to believe in Bianchi’s multiple personality; part 22 reveals his true personality and examines the role of experts in such cases.
