Managing the News

Synopsis

A training resource to help those who work in palliative care in breaking bad news, especially where family members wish to censor what the patient is to be told. A role-played situation concerns a young mother with a serious illness. There are four triggers that can be used for discussion and further role-play. Devised by the Basingstoke Macmillan Service and St Michael’s Hospice.
