Managing Our Countryside (2 Parts)

Synopsis
In two parts: 1) Looks at the areas of Snowdonia, the Norfolk Broads and the Cotswolds, and what impact human activity has on the countryside. New agricultural practices, growing tourism and pollution are all putting the countryside at risk; 2) Deals with conservation and the question of land management in the above areas. Shows why immediate and co-ordinated action is needed, in an age of multi-purpose land use. This involves national and local legislation, environmental groups, farmers, landowners and the general public to cooperate in preserving the landscapes for future generations.
