Synopsis
A review of the basic characteristics of apraxic deficits and a description of possible clinical variants applicable to apraxia of speech. A form of congenital dysarthria is described and compared and contrasted with dyspraxias of speech. A neurolinguistic model is also described which assists in the identification and treatment of developmental motor speech disorders.
