Demonstrates the use of whole-class teaching for reading at three primary schools, including phonics teaching at Kobi Nazrul primary in Tower Hamlets, London. Shows how teachers engage children in whole-class and group sessions on the structure of language. Complements the work of the National Literacy Project.
