Synopsis

Video recording using a single camera of a performance co-produced by the Théâtre du Ch‚telet and the Thé‚tre de Caen of ‘King Arthur’, a semi-opera with music by Henry Purcell and libretto by John Dryden, at the Royal Opera House, London, on 5 May 1995. Musical director William Christie with the orchestra and choir of Les Arts Florrissants. Directed by Graham Vick, designer Paul Brown.
