Synopsis
A portrait of the man who planned the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1971 and the forced the USA into World War 2 - a man with many personal eccentricities and above all a compulsive gambler. In 1939 it became his fate to plan for a war that he had fought hard to prevent and which he knew Japan could never win.
