Synopsis
Looks at aspects of light microscope optics, illustrating the effects of the magnification achieved by different objective lenses, the roles of the condenser and iris diaphragm in improving resolution, preventing flare, and increasing contrast. Demonstrates dark-field, polarising, phase-contrast and differential interference microscopy.
