Hunting Ground, The
- Synopsis
- Explores the controversial methods of the New Tribes Mission in Paraguay. Ayoreo Indians say they have been forced to leave the forest and convert to Christianity. In an encounter between missionised and non-missionised Indians, organised by the New Tribes Mission, five Ayoreo Indians are killed. Missionised Indians, divorced from their independent way of life in the forest, are forced to become beggars and prostitutes. The mission denies all responsibility.
