- This document lays out the BBC’s new media literacy strategy, which involves a move away from ‘access’ (getting people online) to focus more on skills relating to creating and understanding. The four main objectives are to give clear messages about the benefits of emerging technologies, help audiences develop media literacy skills, help children and parents understand the risks associated with online activity and encourage audiences to experiment creatively with digital media.
