It covers the switchover to digital radio, video game certification, Channel 4, but one of its major focus points is how to deal with the illegal downloading and filesharing of content, giving increased powers to government, the courts and Ofcom to deal with offenders.
Among the other requirements of the Act are that Ofcom reports sporadically on various matters, including the internet and media content to the UK government.
