A summary of qualitative research conducted by Blinc Research for the BBC Trust following on from the BBC Trust’s Purpose Remit Survey conducted in February 2007 which identified a clear ‘innovation gap’ and a perception that the BBC was not coming up with enough ‘fresh and new ideas’. The overall objective was to understand in more detail what the public means by this, and the potential implications for the BBC.
