Ambleside Oral History Group has created an Archive of over 300 Interviews, on almost every subject related to life in Ambleside, Cumbria, and its surrounding area, in the Lake District of England, beginning with memories from the 1880’s.

The archive exists in both hard copy and electronic form. Essentially it consists of recordings and indexed transcripts of interviews. Transcripts are available in printed form and also as digital files on computer, searchable by topic or keyword. Recordings of interviews can be heard by prior arrangement.
