Local news features are kept on minidisc (on discretion). Oral history sound recordings also kept. Some material other than news is kept but not filed. Regional studies may keep own items. In the past the North West Sound Archive, qv, received many items from Radio Lancashire and other radio stations thoughout Lancashire. Producers keep personal archives as well. Since digitisation producer decides what to keep.
