SHELL FILM UNIT

Description
The Shell Film Unit was set up in 1934, and was the most highly regarded documentary unit based within a private corporation, with key figures from the British documentary film industry central to its output. The archive contains copies of films made for Shell companies globally, as well as videos from the mid 1980s onwards. Most of the films made during the war when the Shell Film Unit was working for the Ministry of Information are held by the Imperial War Museum.
