ROYAL AIR FORCE MUSEUM FILM COLLECTION

Description
The Royal Air Force Museum was established in 1963 to collect, preserve and display all forms of material recording the history of the Royal Flying Corps, the Royal Navy Air Service, the Royal Air Force and aviation generally. The Museum is the only national museum concerned solely with aviation. The Royal Air Force Museum Film Collection was formally established in April 1974 although the Museum did have a small number of films prior to this date. Since 1988 the collection has formed part of the Visual Arts Department of the Museum.
