RAMBERT DANCE COMPANY ARCHIVE
- Description
- Rambert Dance Company is the oldest dance company in Britain, dating its existence from 1926. It is also Britain’s flagship modern dance company, employing a larger group of artists than any other modern dance company in the UK. The Rambert Dance Company Archive was established in 1982 with financial assistance from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Pilgrim Trust and the Radcliffe Trust. It exists to ensure a complete and accurate record of the work of Britain’s oldest active dance company. Its primary function is to serve the Company but it also responds to enquiries from outside the organisation.
