Description: Established in 1991, Cultural Fantasists began with a library of about a hundred film clips produced in the early seventies. Since then it has steadily expanded and now includes films and videos by Don Letts, Chris Boger, Peter Whitehead, Tony Palmer, Brian Gibson, Mike Mansfield, Derek Jarman, Ken O’Neil, Jack O’Connell, Brian Simmons, Piers Bedford, Jack Hazan and David Mingay, Lindsey Clennell, Nick Abson, Brian Grant, Russell Mulcahy, Julien Temple and many others, covering a period from the 1930s to the 1990s. Archive videotape of early 1980s fashion series is also held.

Film components: 8mm, 16,, 35mm, positive and negative, magnetic and optical soundtracks.

Computerised database: Can be emailed on Excel, Quattro Pro, as csv file, etc
Printed catalogue: Available on request. In alphabetical order of band/artist or in date order (please specify).

Conservation policy: Film material is being mastered to Beta or Digibeta formats. No film material is destroyed unless physically unusable.
