COVENTRY HISTORY CENTRE (including COVENTRY ARCHIVES)

Description
The archive was created by Coventry City Council. Acquisitions were made from 1948 to 1996. It holds several films of local interest, including civic films made by the corporation, one on the consecration of Coventry Cathedral, and some miscellaneous material, including films on the city’s reconstruction following wartime bombing, and films on the motor industry. Also held are videos for city council policy, training and induction. In early 2007 the City Archives will move into purpose built accommodation as part of the Coventry History Centre
