Call for Papers: Bill Douglas Symposium

The Bill Douglas Centre is hosting a symposium on Friday 23 September 2011 on the work of Bill Douglas to mark the 20th anniversary of the death of the great, innovative British filmmaker. Details on some of his films can be found via the BUFVC Find DVDs database.

The Centre is issuing a call for papers on any aspect of the filmmaker’s work – The Bill Douglas Trilogy, Comrades, his collection of artefacts that he assembled with Peter Jewell and his uncompleted film projects.

Dr Karen Lury from the University of Glasgow has kindly agreed to be the keynote speaker.
