ArtBabble
This stylish site features high quality, art-related video content from over fifty galleries, museums and cultural institutions around the world. The website was created in 2009 by a group of curators at the Indianapolis Museum of Art and can count such internationally renowned institutions as The Prado, the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam, and the the Museum of Modern Art in New York among its partners. Users can browse by themes, medium, period and style, location, language and personality name, as well as video type, for a wide range of interesting content, including interviews with artists, lectures, documentaries, exhibition previews and tutorials.

European Council on Foreign Relations Podcast
The European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) is an independent pan-European think-tank, which was founded in 2007 to conduct research and promote informed debate across Europe on the development of a coherent and effective European values-based foreign policy. The ECFR’s podcasts – which are available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish – cover current European issues, particularly questions on the European Union, and Europe’s place in the wider world, especially with regard to China, the Middle East and Africa, and Russia.

New Books Network
This is a useful place to visit to keep track of recently published books in academia and scholarly research. The site consists of a series of podcasts in which authors and academics discuss their new publications. The podcasts are arranged according to subject and cover over 100 academic subjects, from African Studies to World Affairs, taking in Digital Culture, Latino Studies, Physics and Terrorism and Organized Crime (to name just a few) along the way.

Podology
Free downloadable podcasts on sociology and psychology aimed at those teaching or studying psychology. The content would be particularly useful for A-level students but the material here could also be of interest for GCSE and degree level too. The site includes a wide range of other resources too, including articles, videos and links to relevant content at TED Talks.

Volta
Taking its name from Ireland’s first cinema, which was opened by James Joyce in 1909, Volta is a video on demand site for Irish audiences. An initiative of Element Pictures Distribution, the site has a growing catalogue, with a focus on Irish and international independent film. Users can follow the recommendations of the editorial board or browse themselves using various criteria including actor, director, year, country and keyword. There is a substantial amount of free content including video interviews with directors and trailers, together with numerous text articles and reviews.
