The Key to More Access, 2 December 2011
Published: 26 September 2011Friday 2 December 2011 (10.30am onwards), The Geological Society, Piccadilly, London
A BUFVC forum to discuss how current BUFVC projects will result in improved and integrated access to moving image and sound content.
The morning forum will look at how the BUFVC constantly, and consistently, strives to not just increase the amount of content available, but to improve metadata and integrate access to all content, thus allowing easier and more significant data discovery by users.
The BUFVC will launch the ambitious HEFCE funded project, which will join up television and radio holdings data held by both broadcasters & UK educational institutions with its own expanding integrated database.
Other projects to be discussed include:
- Federated search
- Channel 4 Press Packs and British Film Culture
- EUScreen (European television)
- Chronicle: BBC Northern Ireland’s television news from the 60s and 70s
Come along and find out what’s next for moving image and sound content discovery at the BUFVC.
