TV schedule to change for riot discussions

Television schedules are being changed to accommodate discussions on the recent riots.

BBC 1 is producing a Panorama Special – The August Riots – in which John Sweeney will report on the rioting. Scheduled for broadcast on Monday, 15 August at 8.30 pm.

Question Time will interrupt its summer break to return on Thursday, 11 August at 10.35 on BBC1 (replacing Me, My Sex and I).  David Dimbleby will host a debate on the rioting, looting and police handling of the situation.

A special version of Question Time to be entitled UK Riots: Young Voters’ Question Time, hosted by Richard Bacon, will be shown live on BBC3 on Friday 12 August, from 8.30 pm.

On Saturday, 13 August at 7.00 pm Channel 4 will host a live, 60-minute debate on the riots in front of a studio audience, hosted by Krishan Guru-Murthy. This will look at the circumstances that led to the rioting and looting and consider potential solutions.
